Academy School

As from 1st December 2016, Brimington Manor Infant and Nursery School is now an academy school and part of the LEARNERs' TRUST multi-academy chain.

The governing body made the decision to join the LEARNERs TRUST after consultations with staff, parents, the local community and trade unions.

As from the 1st December 2016 our school will now have the opportunity and flexibilities of academy status to share our best practice and work with others to bring about further improvements to our school, other schools in the Multi-Academy Trust and schools in the local area. We look forward to working closely with other schools to provide the best quality education for your children. Brimington Junior School has also become an academy with the LEARNERs' TRUST at the same time.

There will be no change to our school name, logo or uniform.

Our Mission Statement:

'We learn together, work together and have fun together'

We are all very proud of our school and school community. We have children who have fun and achieve well and staff who are committed and highly professional. Brimington Manor Infant and Nursery School is a good place to be! The whole school works together to make it a happy, friendly place. Children enjoy coming to school and are enthusiastic and eager to learn.

All of our staff want the best for our children. They strive hard to provide a purposeful, creative curriculum; that motivates children and gives them an excellent foundation. They strive for children to reach their full potential in all areas of the curriculum, develop their unique talents and be prepared to manage the challenges and opportunities of their future lives.

Our parents/guardians are very supportive. They involve themselves in the life of the school and the development and education of their children. The local community is eager to help and enrich our curriculum.

Our Governors are an important part of school life, being very supportive and working well  to provide the best for our pupils.

We are very pleased with our most recent OFSTED Inspection - 8th & 9th December 2011 - if you would like to read the OFSTED inspection report it is available on: http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/inspection-reports/find-inspection-report/provider/ELS/112518

Parents and carers can give their views of our school at any time of the school year and at the time of a school inspection using an online questionnaire called Parent View.

When our school is notified of its next Ofsted inspection, parents will be invited to give their views about the school to inspectors using the Parent View online facility as this has replaced Ofsted’s paper questionnaire.

Please register with an email address and a password at http://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk. Once your login has been activated, it only takes a few minutes to complete answers to 12 short questions about aspects such as the quality of teaching, level of homework, etc.

Your views are important in helping inspectors make a decision about our school, and to help us know what is going well and what could be improved.

We pride ourselves that all are welcome at Brimington Manor Infant & Nursery School. If you wish to visit or have any queries please telephone and ask to speak to Mrs Sue Grinbergs. She will be more than happy to help or will make an appointment ( 01246 234078).

We hope you find this school website interesting and informative.  We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Mrs Katie Dennis- Head of School
